The 2024 Program Year marks the 50th anniversary of the creation of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). To mark this monumental achievement, local Entitlement communities are putting forth celebratory materials, proclamations, project highlights, and events during the month of April.
The Cities of Dayton and Kettering, in partnership with Montgomery County, will celebrate Community Development Month with an outdoor celebration and resource fair on Saturday, April 27, 2024, from 11:00am – 3:00pm at the Dayton Bike Yard. The event will include demonstrations by local bike enthusiasts, project information to highlight the variety of transformative projects funded with CDBG throughout the Miami Valley, a resource fair to allow our grant-funded partners an opportunity for community outreach, food trucks, and live music to celebrate the transformative power of federal grants like CDBG in our community.
